Dusan Tadic is happy that Ajax finally booked a win after three consecutive losses in the past weeks. Ajax won with 3-4 from Telstar in the second round of the Dutch Cup and proceeds to the next round. Despite the win, the captain is not completely satisfied with the evening due to the bad match his team played.

“It was a difficult match but in the end winning is the most important and we managed to do that. Of course, we should worry that it wasn’t an easy win. We should be critical that we concede three goals and two of them came from corners which is a bad thing. We have to end 2019 with winning against ADO Den Haag on Sunday and stay critical on the way we play” says Tadic after the game to Fox Sports.

Ajax lost in three games the last 2 weeks without scoring a goal and therefore they spoiled a six-point lead in the Eredivisie and were eliminated in the Champions League. When Tadic got asked if the winter break comes too late he reacts: “I think we need some rest. Especially after the shock from getting knocked out of the Champions League. We are tired, both physically as mentally. But we need to be professional: We are still on top of the table, we proceded to the next round of the cup and we are in the Europa League. We need to win the last game and then we have a vacation to empty our head and get some rest and I expect us to be better after that” Tadic ends in conversation with Fox Sports.
