The youngsters of Ajax were already certain of the next round in the UEFA Youth League but became top of the group even though they drew 1-1 with Valencia.
Ajax started out as the dominant side. Enric Llansana and Kenneth Taylor both fired at goal but the Spanish goalkeeper, Joaquin Blazquiz, was able to save both times. A bit later Damian Dostanic saw a massive chance via a header also stopped by this in-form goalie.

Christian Rasmussen did score but his goal was correctly disallowed for being offside. In the end, the match ended all square; 1-1.
