During the international break, Ajax has played a friendly match versus Willem II with the players who hadn’t been called up for international duty. It was an easy afternoon for the Amsterdammers, winning 6-1.

Ajax lined up with players as Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Siem de Jong and Hassane Bandé. Willem II also fielded a heavily altered starting XI from the squad that beat PSV last weekend.

The first big chance of the game was for Willem II, where Elton Kabangu hit the post after a quick counter. After that Ajax dominated the game. Willem II goalie Strezos saved a good shot by Labyad in the 17th minute but Siem de Jong scored the 1-0 from the corner that followed.

Ajax scored the 2-0 a little less than 10 minutes later; Zakaria Labyad was the final pawn in a smooth Ajax attack and he had a composed finish.

At the beginning of the second half Dean Solomons, who usually sits on the bench for Jong Ajax, caused a penalty which was redeemed by Paul Gladon; 2-1.

Only 3 minutes later Ajax had already brought the difference back to 2 goals. Solomons scored a header but it was disallowed for being offside, a minute later Hassane Bandé did score the 3-1 however.

In the remaining 30 minutes, Siem de Jong scored another two goals to complete his hattrick and Dostanic also managed to bag a goal to bring the final score to 6-1.
