Ryan Gravenberch won the award from “best talent” from the first quarter of the Keuken Kampioen Divisie and therefore Voetbalzone decided to pay him a visit to ask him some questions. The 17-year old Gravenberch tells Voetbalzone that he is happy at Ajax and that an extension of his contract will be a matter of time.

‘People need to stay calm. It’s a matter of time before the contract extensions will come. I feel like I’m at the right place at Ajax’ says the best talent of the first quarter in an interview with Voetbalzone. Last Sunday, against Feyenoord, Gravenberch played 16 minutes. It was the second time this season that he got the chance to play in the first squad. ‘I’ve got the chance to play some minutes with the first team against Feyenoord. You always want more but we have to take it step by step’. Gravenberch continues: ‘I think the current midfield is really good but I feel like I might be able to add something to it. I’ll do everything I can in order to make it to the first team but it’s up to the manager to decide if I’m ready for it’.

Recently, Ryan Gravenberch has been selected as one of the 60 biggest talents by the Guardian. “That feels good, I saw that both me and Mo Ihatarran were on the list and of course that’s a good feeling” thus Gravenberch.
