Matchwinner Brian Brobbey is a happy man after his winner in the 85th minute in the match against NAC Breda. Jong Ajax faced NAC Breda on Friday evening and booked a 1-2 victory after being down a goal early on in the match. Noa Lang made the equaliser just before half-time and substitute Brian Brobbey made the winner 5 minutes before the end of the game.

Brobbey scored with his head after a cross from left-back Castillo: “It was a perfect cross and I was able to put the ball in the net with my head. It really is a great feeling.” says Brobbey in an interview with Fox Sports. The reporter asks him if he was waiting on for his first goal for Jong Ajax but the striker seems calm about it “Actually, this was the first big chance I’ve got and I immediately finish it. Normally I need more chances to score but today I only needed one”.

The goal against NAC Breda was his first official goal in professional football but based on his performances in the youth academy, there are much more to come. The 17-year old striker plays most of his matches for the U-19 squad and so far he is doing great. In 39 matches with Ajax U-19, he managed to score 36 times. When he played for Ajax U-17 he scored 26 times in 24 matches.
