Erik ten Hag gave a press conference on Tuesday afternoon and told the press that he expects that Hakim Ziyech will be fit enough to play against Chelsea on Wednesday evening.

The Ajax manager is fairly confident that Hakim Ziyech won’t have any problems anymore after having some minor injuries in the past few weeks. The Maroccan international missed both international games from Morocco last week to get some rest and to recover.

A player who will most likely return in the starting eleven after being absent in last weekends away game at RKC is Nicolás Tagliafico. The Argentinian international was suspended after receiving 4 yellow cards in the Eredivisie.

The hardest choice Ten Hag has to make is on the midfield positions. Last Champions League games Ajax played with Lisandro Martinez, Edson Álvarez and Donny van de Beek but in the Eredivisie, Ajax played their games mostly with Martinez, van de Beek, and Promes. Ten Hag stated that he already made his decision on which midfield he will play with against Chelsea but that he will inform his players first before he will inform the press.
