Ajax has allowed Mazraoui to travel to Morocco anyway. The club had forbidden him and three other Ajax players to travel to Africa for their friendlies earlier, due to health concerns (COVID-19) in the area.
The club had forbidden four of Ajax’ African players to travel to Africa for their international friendlies because the club was worried they’d get infected. The four players were Zakaria Labyad, Noussair Mazraoui (Morocco), Lassina Traoré (Burkina Faso), and Mohammed Kudus (Ghana).
The manager of Morocco, Vahid Halilhodzic, earlier stated that he wasn’t happy with the decision of Ajax to keep Labyad and Mazraoui in the Netherlands.
Zakaria Labyad does stay home in the Netherlands, due to private matters.
