Good news for Ajax and especially Daley Blind! The defender took part in elements of the group training on Friday morning, indicating good progression in his revalidation. Erik ten Hag even stated that he’s been given the all clear and is ready to partake in everything from now on!
Daley Blind was diagnosed with inflammatory heart muscle in December of 2019 after he experienced sudden dizziness during the CL-match versus Valencia. There was a lot of uncertainty about when and even if Blind would make a full recovery but his progression has been promising. During Friday’s preconference Erik ten Hag stated that Daley Blind has been given the all clear by Ajax’ medical staff and that he’s ready to fully train again.
He has been following a personal training regime since he was operated, where they placed an ICD, but has now been seen taken part of the regular group training. He didn’t complete the full training with the rest of the squad.
