Zakaria Labyad suffered a knee injury last week during the Champions League game in Lille. The knee has been examined and treatment via physiotherapy and rest has been chosen for the time being. More clarity about his situation is expected in the new year. However, it is certain that he will not be available anymore this calendar year.
This is a big blow for Zakaria Labyad, who was the replacement of the also injured David Neres. The Moroccan finally had the chance to prove himself on the pitch but that seems to have been for only three games. The right-winger played versus FC Utrecht (4-0, assist), Heracles (4-1, goal) and Lille (0-2, injured before half-time).
Yesterday it was announced that also Quincy Promes will not be available for at least another game.
