Ajax-manager Erik ten Hag was a happy man after the easy 4-0 win against Feyenoord in the first Klassieker of the season.

It only took two minutes for Ajax to take the lead in the Johan Cruijff ArenA by a goal from playmaker Hakim Ziyech. Only five minutes later it was Nicolas Tagliafico who doubled the lead after a pass from David Neres. Before half-time, there were two more Ajax goals by David Neres and Donny van de Beek which resulted in 4-0 win. Ajax-manager Erik ten Hag was a happy man after the home game against Feyenoord.

“I think this was a brilliant win” said Erik ten Hag with pride against the NOS. “We played an excellent game and I really enjoyed to see my team play in the first half. We played with joy and with high intensity and I really enjoyed that”.

Ten Hag started with an attacking setup with Dusan Tadic, Quincy Promes, David Neres, and Hakim Ziyech all in the starting eleven. The four offensive players changed positions all the time which made it very hard to defend for the Feyenoord defenders. The moments Feyenoord had the ball, Ajax tried to play with a lot of pressure on the defense in order to not give them any time to start an attack. “We were more aggressive from the start than Feyenoord and we didn’t give them time to start an attack. This was an excellent game from our side and we got the three points. I’m very satisfied!” said ten Hag.
