Ajax player Dusan Tadic rejected several clubs last summer according to English newspaper The Guardian. Including a 3 year contract offering him 42 million dollars from Chinese football club Dalian Yifang.
Tadic acknowledges that it was an offer that could have tempted others but he’s happy to stay in Amsterdam: “That was really bizarre, yes. They can drive your head. But you have to listen to your heart. Money is not everything; you can’t buy happiness. I already feel rich inside. ”
The Serbian powerhouse says he has everything he wants in Amsterdam. “I think Ajax needed me and I needed Ajax. We really found each other. I expected a lot from my adventure in Amsterdam, but not this. Ajax had not played Champions League football for four years. And of course, there was nobody who saw that we would make it to the semi-finals ”, referring to the European success of Ajax last season.
